Rainbow flag raised at Hartford City Hall in honor of pride month

HARTFORD–In honor of national pride month, a rainbow flag was raised at City Hall in Hartford on Wednesday. The flag raising was part of a kick-off to pride month, which will culminate in Hartford’s Capital City Pride Rally on Friday, June 26. The already-planned rally takes place hours after the Supreme Court decision.  large crowd is expected for the Hartford Capital City Pride Rally tonight, which is taking place just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled Friday that all same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry. Connecticut Latinos Achieving Rights and Opportunities is hosting the rally at the Old State House, the site of the first, Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual and Transgender Pride celebration in the state 33 years ago, according to a news release.
